A medium is channel, a secretary, a messenger – an instrument that acts as a conduit for communication. Mediums facilitate a connection between the living and the departed in order to allow and receive messages of love, peace, gratitude, encouragement and support. It’s important to keep mind that when we visit a medium that we, ourselves assist that medium with our good intention* – in other words we help build the energetic bridge to the Other Side. Our loved ones on the Other Side know and understand that we wish to contact them. They must use a great deal of energy to come through for us. Our feelings of love, hope and positivity can raise the energetic vibration and help establish a steady link to those who desire to communicate. Once the link is established it becomes a three-way conversation – with the medium interpreting the messages often seen, heard or felt.

During a reading the connection between the medium and the person in spirit can change in intensity. Often it may waver if the person in spirit is distracted ( or if the medium becomes distracted) Mediums train from many years and develop spiritual tools and techniques in order to be able to offer Spirit communication.

It’s simply isn’t possible to randomly call upon someone in spirit using a medium and likewise mediums are not technically able to summon a departed person.

Once the connection has been made and the necessary Spirit identification has established it’s anyone’s guess how long the session may last. If our loved who passed over was the chatty type while here on this side, then they will get a good word or two in!  Often other members of the family show up as well and the medium can facilitate their messages as well.

A reading with a medium has 3 phases – beginning, ( the most difficult ) the middle ( the next less difficult) and the end – the least difficult. The readings always come to a natural close. The energy begin to lessen and the light begins to fade. This signals that the special time is almost over and when this occurs we say our “until next time” but with renewed hope and confidence that our loved ones are nearby and involved in our lives.

They know and they see what’s happening in this regard.
